Rumors by Alexus

Rumors- very cruel and hurtful as someone’s feelings or about to fight someone you
know of. Too many people spread too much, and it happens every year in middle and
high schools! What everyone hears are all true, but the one who said it to everyone else isn’t. Rumors shouldn’t be made in the first place. It can be about you, your best friend or someone you might know from other rumors.

Spreading a rumor is actually made by yourself or what you hear from someone else. 46% would not spread a rumor. It can be made by you talking to someone you know or anyone who hears it from a distance, like two or three feet and can hear you very well. It’s best to whisper what you are about to say in your friend's ear than say it out loud.

Only tell someone you can trust to keep it as a secret, not a rumor.
55% of your friends spread a rumor about you, while everyone else mind their own business. If you kept a rumor from your friend, then you are not doing the right thing as a friend. 54% of your friends didn’t kept a rumor from your friend.
62% were hurt by rumors, that were spread. We know that many students have feelings, causing some to fight others or break each others’ hearts when it comes to relationships or between friends. Some students got suspended from fighting because of these rumors.

Most students would hear five or more in a typical week. To me, it’s best not to say what you hear even if its true. But I know it is not and I can only know if it’s true from the one person to speak to… the person who has been rumored.

About 20 students said were spread five to ten rumors about you this year. I suggest that when it comes to keeping secrets to your friends that you trust, I would make a decision of what is right for you. Think carefully!
