As you all know A.R. can sometimes be very annoying and obnoxious when it counts for a grade. A.R. should not be counted as a Language Arts grade because it can add some pressures to kids and it can make it boring. In some cases it can contribute to students failing Language Arts, and it can add into homework and cut into your leisure time.
A.R. adds boredom to the day because as you sit inside and read a book
that you may not enjoy in the slightest sense, while your friends play outside. Sadly with A.R., some of that time is wasted inside, while the sun goes away for the day. Most kids on team 7-2 say that A.R. does, in fact, take the fun out of reading, based on survey given to all 7-2 team members. A.R. does not have many qualities that make it at all enjoyable. A.R. should just be a time to sit down and read for the sheer pleasure of it. A.R. should be changed to be more interactive because if we stay like this then for the rest of our lives we would think reading is boring, and most likely never want to read much at all. Teachers do not have to worry about students not reading enough because according to most (49%) of the students on team 7-2 say that they will read the same, even if A.R. is eliminated (according to survey).
A.R. adds to stress because you know that you want your parents to be proud of your grades and even if you did a good job in Language Arts but somehow managed to bomb A.R., then your grade will be lower. There is also the stress that while you read your book your friends are saying things that you need to hear but can't. There is also stress that even though a student is reading a book quickly that he/she may still fail a test even though that student read it. There is a quote from and anonymous source that states, "Stress: the confusion created when one’s mind overrides the body's basic desire to choke the living daylights out of some jerk who deserves it." which can eventually become true. According to specialists in Michigan University say that too much stress is bad mentally, physically, and cognitively. Students these days have too much stress on their minds, and A.R. just adds to that stress.A.R. can also cut into a child's leisure time. Leisure time is very important in a child's life because it is a time to have fun. A.R. cuts into a child's precious leisure time because as children living in the twenty first century we do not get much. At the University of Michigan there was a study comparing "real" free leisure time among children ages 12 and under found that leisure time had declined from 40% of a child's day to 25%. As you can plainly see A.R. cuts on a child's life, and that can cause serious problems.A.R. can and should not be counted as an independent grade, but be used as a good free time to read a book and enjoy it instead of being forced to read

Uhhh...... I think that this is a false statement. I think that AR helps our learning abilities by helping us prepare for a job or anything else in life. It helps your reading capabilities and everybody knows that it will help you in life in life, so therefore it is wrong.
Hi franz! ur graphs are jail-like and industrial
